In general the check-in and check-out times at all hotels, unless otherwise stated in this itinerary, is between 1200 noon and 1400 hours.


Day 01 : Arrive Yangon and transfer   (-/-/-)
Welcome upon arrival, you will be greeted by our representative who will accompany you as you transfer to the hotel. 
Yangon, formerly known as Rangoon, is a relatively quiet and charming city. Its impressive colonial and spiritual heritage makes it one of the most fascinating cities in Southeast Asia. 
Overnight in Yangon.
Day 02 : Yangon tour   (B/-/-)
Today sightseeing features the beautiful Kandawgyi Lake, Botataung Pagoda, which is hollow and through which you can walk and see many ancient relics and artifacts and Yangon downtown area and from there we walk along the Pansodan street which has many large colonial buildings which are still in use. It is also interesting to see the sidewalk markets including those selling old books and magazines dated from the 1960’s up to the present.
Afternoon sightseeing to Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda, which houses a 70-metre reclining Buddha and finish your tour at Shwedagon Pagoda, the most revered Buddhist temple in Myanmar. The central stupa is 90 metres tall and gilded with gold leaf. As the sun begins to set enjoy the breath-taking views of the Pagoda and surrounding skyline before transferring back to your hotel.

Day 03 :  Fly to Bagan, Bagan sightseeing  (B/-/-)
Today, fly to Bagan. On arrival, our journey begins with a visit to the golden stupa of Shwezigon Pagoda for an introduction in to Bagan’s rich history. Then, visit to nearby Wetkyi-In Gubyaukgyi, a cave temple with exquisite jataka mural paintings and the elegant Htilominlo Temple noted for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sandstone decorations. 
This afternoon begin with a visit to Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece and one of Bagan’s most beautiful temples. Built in the early Mon-style, Ananda contains two unique Buddha images whose expressions seem to change depending on the distance from which the statue is viewed. Neighboring Ananda Okkyaung is one of the few surviving brick monasteries from the early Bagan period and is filled with intricate paintings. As the sun goes down we will be at one of the ideal viewing sites selected by our tour guide for a panoramic sunset view over the temples.

Day 04  : Popa – Bagan sightseeing   (B/-/-) 
Morning, drive to Mt. Popa, which supposedly rose from the ground in a massive earthquake in 442 BC. Mt. Popa is famous as the abode of the Nats (Spirit Gods) and for its panoramic view of the local tropical region. There is a volcanic plug with a temple on top that we can climb up to if we like. On the way to Mt. Popa visit a local toddy palm farmer and see how toddy palm juice and sugar are produced. 

In the afternoon, visit one of local village near Bagan vicinity. You may get experience of farmer’s families, their village’s life.  You can enjoy a walkabout in a village where you can see the traditional ways of life still carried on such as weaving cotton by hand, grinding peanut oil with oxen, the care of various farm animals etc. Visit some local homes and observe local people life by chatting with them. As the day wanes we will be at Bupaya, a Pyu-style stupa located on the banks of the Ayeyawady River and from where we commence a scenic boat ride ending at on the bank of the Ayeyawady.

Day 05 : Bagan/Mandalay (flight) and Amarapura – Inwa sightseeing        (B/-/-) 
After breakfast at the hotel, take a short flight to Mandalay. On arrival, depart for an excursion around Mandalay to explore the former capitals of Amarapura and next visit to Inwa (Ava). 

Begin your morning attending a special ceremony in Amarapura. Witness the alms collection at Mahagandayon monastery, when over one-thousand monks gather to collect their daily meal from the local Buddhists. After this beautiful spectacle, continue to a nearby silk weaving workshop which produces exquisite handmade products. Then, walk along U Bein Bridge for fabulous views. This 200 year-old bridge is constructed entirely from teak and spans over 2 kilometers in length.
Later we will visit another former royal capital, Inwa which was founded in 1364 and which lasted nearly 400 years as a royal capital. Highlights include the ' leaning tower of Ava', Maha Aungmye Bonzan, a brick-and-stucco monastery, and the elegant teakwood monastery Bagaya Kyaung. Then back to Mandalay.

Day 06        Mingun – Mandalay sightseeing    (B/-/-)
We will go to Mandalay jetty where we take a short and pleasant ride upriver to Mingun, the site of what would have been the world's largest pagoda had not King Bodawpaya died in 1819 thus halting all further work. Later an earthquake in 1838 split the monument and reduced it to partial rubble. Nonetheless, the mammoth base of the unfinished pagoda is still a very impressive sight as we approach from the river. Nearby we can also visit the Mingun Bell, moved from the zedi after the earthquake and now hung in a new shrine building. It is said to be the largest hanging un-cracked bell in the world. Return to Mandalay.
This afternoon, continue your tour of Mandalay with a visit to highly revered Mahamuni Pagoda; a gold leaf hammering craftshop, Kuthodaw Pagoda, whose 729 marble stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures have earned it the title ‘World’s Biggest Book’. Continue to Shwenandaw Monastery, the only remaining building from the 19th century Royal Palace. This grand teak building is known for its exquisite woodcarving. 
Head to the top of Mandalay Hill as the sun begins to set to enjoy magnificent views of the city and Irrawaddy River.

Day 07        Mandalay/Heho (flight) and Inle lake sightseeing    (B/-/-)
Today, take a flight to Heho. On arriving, drive to Nyaung Shwe, the gateway village to Inle Lake. Along the way, stop at the wooden Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery which features beautiful carvings and a collection of Buddha images.
Upon reaching the edges of Inle Lake, board a private motorboat to head out to Inle Lake, one of Myanmar’s most spectacular sights. Pass villages built on stilts over the lake, inhabited by the local Intha people. Observe the leg-rowing fishermen and see their floating gardens built up from strips of water hyacinth and mud and anchored to the bottom with bamboo poles. Visit Nga Hpe Chaung Monastery, which houses dozens of Shan Buddha Images. Continue to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the lake’s main sanctuary, which contains five sacred Buddha images covered in gold leaf. 
Explore the local crafts of Inle Lake with a stop at the weaving village of Inpawkhone and a cheroot factory, where the typical Burmese cigars are made by hand.

Day 08        Indainn sightseeing and Pindaya transfer   (B/-/-)
From the middle of the lake, continue down a small canal leading to the Pa-oh village of Indainn. On arrival, continue to the Inainn area on foot, strolling around the village, visiting a local school, and wander through the beautiful Alaung Sitthou area. Here you can climb the covered stairway to the top of a hill which is covered with picturesque ancient stupas and has magnificent views of the lake below.

In the afternoon, drive to Pindaya which is noted for its extensive limestone caves filled with Buddha images.  Driving there we will be passing through the PaO and Danu villages of Pwehla and Ji Chanzi and endless fields of dry cultivated mountain rice and potato.
If time permitting, we visit umbrella making family where you could see their working process of local product made by bamboo.

Day 09        Pindaya – Kalaw sightseeing   (B/-/-)
Today, continue visit the Pindaya Caves where there are nearly 8,000 Buddha images that have been placed there over the centuries as a form of merit making. Made of various materials and of different sizes, the statues are situated in every nook and cranny throughout the many cave chambers. After sightseeing, next drive to Kalaw which is situated 70 km west of Taunggyi; the capital of Shan state and about 50 km from Pindaya caves. Kalaw sits high on the western edge of the Shan Plateau and was a popular hill station in the British times. It is still a peaceful and quiet place with an atmosphere remnant of colonial era. Sightseeing in Kalaw includes Nee Paya, a gold lacquered bamboo Buddha.

Day 10        Kalaw, Heho/Yangon (flight) and Yangon tour and departure transfer    (B/-/-)
After early breakfast, drive to Heho airport and fly back to Yangon. On arrival,  visit the famous Scott Market (it is closed on every Monday and gazette holidays), a sprawling complex built in 1926 and noted for its variety of handicrafts and other items which provides an excellent opportunity for a shopping spree. Transfer to airport for your onward departure flight.
