At 7:30 AM, your guide will collect you from your hotel and begin the journey to the Cu Chi Tunnels, approximately 50 kilometers outside Ho Chi Minh City. This vast underground system stretches over 200 kilometers and served as a vital base for Vietnamese forces during the war. Visitors can experience different tunnel sections ranging from 15 to 100 meters, depending on physical condition. Along the way, you’ll see hidden kitchens, supply areas, medical rooms, and military command spaces. The tour concludes with a sample of boiled cassava, a staple food during wartime. Afterward, return to the city for lunch.
The afternoon starts with a visit to Chinatown and the Thien Hau Temple. You will then stop by the Notre Dame Cathedral, constructed between 1877 and 1883 using imported French materials. Nearby, explore the Central Post Office, a remarkable building designed by Gustave Eiffel. The tour finishes at the Reunification Palace, a symbolic landmark associated with the reunification of Vietnam on April 30, 1975.
