Travel Itinerary

DAY 1 - ARRIVAL – LUANG PRABANG

Warmly welcome to Lao!!
Upon your arrival at airport then you will be meet our guide and we then transfer you to hotel for check in and then relax at leisure time.
Overnight in LUANG PRABANG

DAY 2 - LUANG PRABANG – CITY TOUR & CRUISE TO PAKOU CAVE[B]

Today we will start explore the heritage city such as visit Wat Mai, the National Museum at the former Royal Palace displays a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign, Wat Aham and also visit the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture. We then board a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a panoramic view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. Along the way, we will make a stop at Ban Xang Hai village where rice wine is distilled. We will visit the caves of Tham Ting and Tham Phoum which house hundreds of Buddha statues We return to Luang Prabang in the afternoon, continue to visit Ban Xang Khong, a village well known for silk hand-weaving and traditional Saa paper-making. After that we climb up 328 steps of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River.
This evening is free time to explore the Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of handmade textiles made by the hill tribe and local people surrounding Luang Prabang.
Overnight in LUANG PRABANG

DAY 3 - LUANG PRABANG – ALMS GIVING & KUANGSI WATFERFALL – VIENTIANE[B]

At 5:40am An early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (ubiquitous sticky rice) from the faithful residents. This tradition is very unique in Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the procession
We then visit the Morning Market, where you will see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings.
After breakfast at hotel, we then drive our way to Khouang Si waterfall and pass by the Free Asian bear. You will enjoy feeling the mist of the cool, turquoise waters of the different waterfalls. Swimming in the refreshing waters is possible and then return back to the town on return, you stop to visit local villages of Ban Na Ouane (Hmong). You will learn more about the life style of these people.
Make another stop at Ock Pop Tok for a short visit to the Living Craft Center, where you will have a short tour so you get information about Silk, about weaver, about the Women that work in the Centre then transfer you to train station for take an evening fast train (2hrs) to Vientiane Capital

DAY 4 - VIENTIANE – CITY TOUR & BUDDHA PARK[B]

Today we start to explore the town; with Wat Sisaket which is the oldest temple still standing in Vientiane. This amazing structure features remarkable frescoes and Buddha images. We continue sightseeing by visiting Haw Prakeo, the former royal temple of Laos monarchy, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Statue. We then visit the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane's own Arc de Triumph before continuing to the famous That Luang Stupa and Then visit of the day will be the excellent COPE exhibition centre, highlighting a much overlooked aspect of Laos and a major problem many of the local people face on a day to day basis in the form of unexploded ordnance as a result of heavy bombing campaigns during the Vietnam War.
In the afternoon we then drive to the Buddha Park was started in 1958 by Luang Pu (Venerable Grandfather) Bunleua Sulilat. Luang Pu Bunleua Sulilat was a priest-shaman who integrated Hinduism and Buddhism. His unique perspective was influenced by a Hindu rishi under whom he studied in Vietnam. After the revolution in 1975, anxious about the repercussions of the rule of Pathet Lao, he fled from Laos to Thailand where he built another sculpture park, Sala Keoku in Nong Khai. Both parks are located right next to the Thai-Lao border (Mekong River), only a few kilometers apart from each other, and the tallest structures of the Buddha Park can actually be seen from the Thai side of Mekong

DAY 5 - VIENTIANE – DEPARTURE[B]

Today is free until checkout at 12:00pm and then we transfer you to airport for take flight back home.
