Welcome to Saigon, the bustling center of Southern Vietnam! Upon your arrival at Tan Son Nhat Airport, our local guide will warmly welcome you and escort you to your hotel for check-in. Overnight stay in Saigon.
AM: 7:30 AM – Pick up at your hotel and drive about 50 km to the Cu Chi Tunnels, one of Vietnam’s most famous historical sites from the National Liberation War. Explore the tunnels, including kitchens, storage rooms, medic chambers, and command posts. Visitors can enter sections ranging from 15 m to 100 m, depending on comfort. End the visit with cassava (khoai mì), a staple food of the Vietcong. Return to Saigon for lunch.
PM: Visit Notre-Dame Cathedral, built by the French between 1877–1883, and the nearby Central Post Office designed by Gustave Eiffel. Continue to the Reunification Palace, a historic site marking the end of the Vietnam War in 1975. End the day at the War Remnants Museum, featuring exhibits on the Vietnam War, including American weapons. Return to your hotel in Saigon for the night.
8:00 AM – Pick up at your hotel and depart for Ben Tre Province.
Enjoy a boat ride along the Ben Tre River, a tributary of the Mekong, passing through mangrove trees and lively waterways. Observe daily life with fishing boats, coconut cargo boats, and local markets. Visit Nhon Thanh village to explore handmade workshops and traditional brick-making.
Cruise along Cai Son Canal through coconut groves, visit a coconut processing workshop, and see the stages from husk removal to peeling. Stop at a coconut candy workshop to watch candy-making by hand, taste some sweets and fresh fruits, and enjoy local music. Continue by boat and take a short walk to a farmer’s house where sleepmats are made.
Hop on a tuk-tuk through the coconut groves, stop for lunch at a local restaurant, then relax on a rowing boat through shaded canals. Return by boat to Chet Say Pier.
Pick up and transfer to Can Tho. Overnight at your hotel in Can Tho.
Early morning, your tour guide will meet you at your hotel. Transfer by boat to visit the Cai Rang Floating Market (about 50 minutes), where you can see goods displayed on boat poles and local people buying and selling tropical fruits at very reasonable prices.
Next, visit a factory where rice noodles are made. Say goodbye to Can Tho City and drive back to Saigon, where you will be dropped off at your hotel. End of services.
