Travel Itinerary

DAY 1 - HO CHI MINH - MEKONG DELTA 1 DAY - HO CHI MINH[L]

Departing at 8:00 AM, when your guide and driver will pick you up and head to Ben Tre Province, the heart of the Mekong Delta.

Upon arrival, embark on a boat cruise along the Ben Tre River, one of the tributaries of the Mekong River. Glide past mangrove-lined waterways while observing the lively scenes of riverside life, from bustling local markets on land to fishing boats and coconut cargo boats moving along the river.

Continue your journey to Nhon Thanh Village, where you will explore the peaceful countryside and visit traditional local workshops. Stop at a traditional brick kiln to learn how bricks are still handmade using age-old techniques. Cruise along the winding Cai Son Canal, surrounded by dense coconut palms, and visit a coconut workshop to observe the entire coconut processing process, from husking and cracking to hand-peeling.

Travel deeper into the small canals and stop at a coconut candy workshop, where you can watch the candy being made by hand, sample freshly prepared sweets, enjoy seasonal fruits, and listen to traditional local music. Continue by boat before stepping ashore for a short walk to a local farmer’s home, where sleeping mats are crafted using traditional methods.

Hop on a tuk-tuk ride through coconut groves, immersing yourself in the lush countryside scenery. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant, then relax with a peaceful rowing boat ride along shaded palm-lined canals.

In the afternoon, return by boat to Chet Say Pier, where your vehicle awaits for the transfer back to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, concluding a day filled with authentic Mekong Delta experiences.
